Weekend Roundup – Media Brunch & More

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending a media brunch for Carluccio’s Italian Restaurant on behalf of Northern Virginia Housewives. My assignment was to “eat & tweet” as I enjoyed a steady flow of peach Bellini’s and authentic Italian cuisine in the picturesque new restaurant at Old Town Alexandria’s waterfront. Needless to say, I loved it and would like more of these type of assignments in short order!

On Sunday, I was announced as a semi-finalist for the 2015 Women’s Freedom Conference. I was pleased to learn that my proposal to spread awareness about Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and Domestic Abuse was well-received and I have moved on to the next phase of consideration to become a presenter. The 2015 Women’s Freedom Conference is a digital conference designed to “amplify the unique voices and experiences of underrepresented women” scheduled for October 25th. Learn more about it here.
