Recently, I was invited to attend the IAB Small Publisher Conference & Fly-in. Day 1 included a buffett lunch, followed by informative sessions including Building Your Digital Brand and Using Digital Tools To Grow Your Business at the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel.
Susan Getgood, the SVP of Influencer Marketing for SheKnows Media, covered how bloggers can successfully partner with brands during her session on native marketing. These sessions are available for download here. Day 1 of the conference closed with a cocktail reception and dinner at the Google Washington, D.C. Office.
The second day of the conference began with breakfast on the Hill at 201 Bar followed by Capitol Hill visits. Members of the IAB government relations team led us through a day of meetings with U.S. senators and their staffs. We introduced our websites and discussed legislation affecting content producers and small publishers.
